Hoopla is a digital streaming service for library members to access eBooks, audiobooks, movies, music, and TV shows using portable devices like smartphones and tablets.

How to Set Up Your Hoopla Account:

Step 1: Go to hoopladigital.com and click on the blue “Get Started” button. You also have the option of downloading the free Hoopla app from your app store. The registration process will be very similar.

Step 2: Enter your information. You will need to enter your email address and create a password. You will hit the blue “Agree” button to agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 3: Choose Union Free Public Library from a list of public libraries. You may have to type in the full name “Union Free Public Library” before it pops up. Hit the blue “Next” button.

Step 4: Enter the 14-digit number found on the back of your library card. If you have misplaced your card, the library staff can provide you with your library card number, or with a replacement card. Hit the blue “Sign Me Up” button.

Step 5: Start using Hoopla to check materials out! Union card holders can now check out 10 electronic materials per month. There are no late fees. Once your item has expired, it returns automatically, and won’t play on your device anymore. There is no need to place holds with Hoopla materials – all titles are available 24/7 to as many people as wish to view them. Audiobooks and e-books are available for 21 days; music for 7 days; movies and tv shows for 72 hours.
