About Union Connecticut Free Public Library
The Union Free Public Library is a small, rural Library serving a community of less than 1,000 residents. We offer over 10,000 print volumes as well as access to materials from over 60 CT Libraries participating in the Bibliomation/Evergreen Consortium.
Amazing member benefits
All Union residents are entitled to a Union library card. A Union library card is valid at any Connecticut public library! If you don’t see something you’ve been looking for on our shelves, you can always ask a librarian to help you locate it. We are often happy to purchase in-demand materials for our library, or we are able to order them through interlibrary loan for a speedy delivery right to our library. You may set up an online account to see relevant information about your own library account, such as the books you have checked out and when they are due back, or to search for and request books that interest you. You may also use your library card to access numerous electronic materials (e-books, audiobooks, TV shows, etc) through the Hoopla and Libby apps. Stop at the library to sign up for your library card today! If you are unable to physically make it to the library, reach out over the phone or via email, and we will be happy to get you set up.
